Tim Smith

President

Tim Smith is the President of the Coolray companies.

Tim brings 15+ years of Sales and Operational management experience to the Coolray team, most recently in the home services field. His philosophy of Continuous Improvement has been vital to driving and sustaining market leadership position in his fields of business. Tim is committed to solidifying Coolray’s position as the premier HVAC company in the metro Atlanta market.

He holds a Business Management Degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. An avid, and former competitive golfer, Tim and his wife can typically be found on the golf course or attending Atlanta sporting events in their free time.

Heather Speich

Vice President and Controller

Heather Speich is the Vice President & Controller for Coolray Companies.

Heather joined the Coolray family as Controller in June of 2016. She oversees all financial functions for the company and is responsible for financial statements, cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prior to joining Coolray, Heather’s background included 15 years in real estate and homebuilding, specifically in the accounting and finance fields.

Heather holds a BBA and Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She currently lives in the Canton area with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Alex Bedoya

Vice President of Plumbing and Underground

Alex Bedoya is the Vice President of Plumbing and Underground for Mr. Plumber and the Coolray Companies.

Alex joined the Coolray family as the Vice President of Plumbing Services in March of 2015. Alex not only brings nearly 25 years of progressive operations management experience and expertise to the Mr. Plumber brand, he also brings integrity and business ethics which will heighten Mr. Plumber’s solid credibility. Alex joins us after spending 15 years improving operational performance and enhancing the customer experience in various operational roles for a Fortune 500 company and a global leader in the logistics industry. Alex is truly committed to developing and embracing a customer-centric philosophy in order to enhance the Mr. Plumber culture of putting the customer’s needs at the center of what we do while striving for operational excellence.

Alex also serves as Dean of Students for the Coolray Academy, our in-house training center for the next generation of trades men and women.

Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from St. John’s University in New York. He now resides in Acworth with his wife and 2 children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books, watching movies, basketball, football and coaching his children’s youth teams as well as spending quality time with his wife and children.

Scott Archibald

Plumbing Director

Scott Archibald is the Plumbing Director of Mr. Plumber for the Coolray Companies.

Scott brings nearly 30 years of experience including 10+ as Service Manager, 2 as Plumbing Sales Representative and 15 in the field as a plumber. He continued the growth of Mr. Plumber since joining the company in 2019. 

Archibald is a native of Woodstock and currently resides in Calhoun with his two children. 

Matt Byrne

Coolray Academy Plumbing Instructor

Matt’s plumbing career started in Long Island, NY in 1998 where he earned his first Master Plumbing license. He then relocated to Georgia in 2010 and earned his Georgia Master Plumbing license and began working for Mr. Plumber. After 3 years as a service plumber, Matt was promoted to field supervisor and then spent time as Mr. Plumber’s VP of Plumbing Operations. Currently Matt oversees development of new talent for Mr. Plumber – a position that uses Matt’s leadership and experience to fill crucial roles in our expanding plumbing department, a roll he has a strong passion for and fits what he wants to accomplish professionally. Matt has been extremely successful in this role and has personally lead over 20 apprentices to become licensed plumbers who deliver honest craftsmanship for Mr. Plumber customers. A huge accomplishment and a testament to his commitment to furthering the professionalism of the plumbing trade. Matt is married, has 2 lovely daughters, is a master on the Big Green Egg and when he’s not training the next generation of great plumbers for Mr. Plumber, enjoys rooting for the Falcons and being outdoors.

 

Nathaniel Marshall

Plumbing Instructor

Nate is one of the newest instructors on Coolray’s Academy faculty. Nate started his career at Mr. Plumber in June of 2015 as an apprentice working on the underground crew. Over the last 7 years he has held a number of roles within Coolray, both in the field and in the office as part of the operations and management team. He will bring his enthusiasm for the plumbing trade and his skills as a licensed journeyman plumber to the classroom, helping to mold the next generation of Plumbing tradesmen. He will be reporting to Alex Bedoya, VP of Plumbing and Undergrounds.

Jeff Markham

Field Supervisor

Jeff Markham is a 40-year veteran of the plumbing industry. Jeff joined the Mr. Plumber team in 2008. As a Field Supervisor for Mr. Plumber, Jeff’s stated goal is to meet or exceed customer's expectations with exceptional craftsmanship while maintaining the highest standards. Jeff says, “I go over and above to make sure every Mr. Plumber customer is 100% satisfied before I leave their home” During his tenure at Mr. Plumber, Jeff has earned 5 company awards including the Mr. Plumber, 2010 Plumber of the Year, the 2013 Presidents Award and the Mr. Plumber 2015 PRIDE Award for Integrity. Jeff married his high school sweetheart and has two sons. When he is not busy teaching our new class of your plumbers to carry on his commitment to excellence, he loves golf, fish, and motorcycles.

Adam Johnson

Director of Marketing

Adam Johnson is the Director of Marketing for the Coolray Companies. In this role, Mr. Johnson oversees all marketing efforts including creative advertising, research and creative content.

After 3 years as Marketing Manager for Coolray, Adam was named Director of Marketing in July 2023. Adam has spearheaded marketing for the Coolray, Mr. Plumber and BriteBox Electrical brands while serving as a marketing partner to Atlanta's media, publication and sports organizations. Adam is an experienced marketer. He’s worked in a variety of indutries including sports, broadcasting and home services; overseeing Marketing, Communications and Event Planning Departments.

Before joining Coolray Companies in 2020, Adam worked as the Digital Content Manager for NASCAR's Phoenix Raceway during their $178 million track renovation. It was here that he earned the Front Office Sports Rising 25 Award in 2019. Prior to his time in NASCAR, Adam served as the lead broadcaster for serveral of Grand Canyon University's team sports. Adam earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management with an emphasis in Communications from Grand Canyon University.

Adam was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and currently resides in Georgia with his wife Aubree and son.  

Tracy Burdette

Vice President – Technical and Safety Training

As VP of Technical Training and Safety, Tracy works closely with the technical field staff to maintain the highest levels of technical excellence, managing safety concerns and providing 100% satisfaction to our customers.

Formerly, Tracy was the leader of the Quality Assurance Division, dating back to January of 2010 and was brought onboard to oversee the company’s ongoing efforts for continuous improvement in the products and services areas.

A native of the Atlanta area, Tracy has over 30 years of experience in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry and holds an unrestricted Georgia Conditioned Air License, O.S.H.A and N.A.T.E certifications. After graduating from the two-year HVAC program at Atlanta Area Tech, he spent eight years working as a service technician repairing and installing various types of brands of air conditioning equipment before moving into management. With his varied experience and background in Coolray’s business, Tracy brings a unique perspective to his position. When not at work Tracy enjoys spending time with his family, and can likely be found outdoors, boating, kayaking, or fishing.
